Wendy Y. Hallman
As a little girl,
Wendy spent many hours coloring in coloring books and on paper
scrolls. She also enjoyed painting by numbers. Her
grand parents lived on a farm and she was fascinated with drawing
horses, especially her Poppy's dapple gray horse named Prince.
Wendy
participated in art and music classes in school and played the
clarinet in elementary school. She sang in the chorus in
junior and senior high school and also sang in a music group
in college. However, she never excelled in any of these
endeavors and they ended upon college graduation. Years
passed with getting married and raising two sons. Then
her sister, Carolyn, persuaded her to take a watercolor
painting class taught by Patricia Friedman. Wendy's first
class was in February 2008 and surprisingly some inner unknown
talents began to slowly emerge. Carolyn also introduced
her to glazing bisque pottery and creating pieces of pottery
from slab clay, which she especially enjoys. Someday she
hopes to work with a pottery wheel.
Wendy describes herself
as a "late bloomer" and is thoroughly enjoying every
minute of it.

Top Hat Designs
Inspired by an artistic mother, Leslie dabbled
in many mediums as a child. Such as sewing "muppet"
like puppets for her sisters, drawing, pen and inks, etc. At
age 14 she received a Minolta SLR 35mm camera and became hooked.
Photography has been a mainstay of her repertoire for many years.
Five and one half years ago Leslie took a class from a certified
Silversmith to learn Jewelry Making. She has taught beading to
a few students and enjoys working with semi-precious stones.
Leslie continues to experiment with different mediums.

Wire
Concepts by Pam
Pam was born and raised in Berkshire Heights
and spent many years in the city of Reading, PA. She now lives
in the Stony Creek area with her husband of 28 years. Pam always
wanted to create something beautiful but spent time working in
the accounting field for 30 years, until she became disabled.
She learned many crafts during that time, all self-taught, such
as sewing, crocheting, quilting, photography, wood burning, wood
working, sketching and painting. Pam never had formal training,
just the need to create. The opportunity presented itself when
she stumbled upon the book "Making Designer Bead & Wire
Jewelry" by Tammy Powley and she hasn't stopped since, learning
new things each time she picks up wire.

Sharon
Homan DeLong
Sharon has always been into some sort of craft for as long as she can remember. If it wasn't sewing clothes for her dolls on her Mom's Kenmore sewing machine, making pottery from mixing dirt and water in a bucket, and dried them all on the window sills (which made my parents nuts!) Or painting in her basement, pretending she was some famous artist ( she actually used the basement walls as canvas’s at times). Sharon was always allowed to explore her creativity without worrying about making a mess! So it is only fitting for Sharon to explore her creative energy in making her on line of amazing jewelry. It never seems to get boring for her as there are so many different mediums to work with. Her favorite right now, is working with copper. Learning how to cut, shape, hammer, heat and solder it....gives her great joy. But for Sharon it is all about the learning process. That is why she continually enjoys learning and sharing her craft through teaching at Carolyn's shop, Le Petit Artist.

Institute. Carolyn also attended The Baum School of Art, William
Holland School of Lapidary Arts and PMC (precious

in the national magazine, Art Jewelry.
Adding
to her repertoire, Carolyn designs and fabricates multi metal
sculptures. Her work has been accepted into many regional juried

passion and excitement as she does. They inspire her when they
share ideas. She loves collaborating with others to create. Students
like the way she simplifies the jewelry making process and teaches
in plain understandable terms. She encourages students to use
their creativity within. Carolyn is a former studio artist and
instructor at The GoggleWorks Center For The Arts in Reading
PA.
